Welcome to the Classic APPeal app, a project of the Early Music Italia association.
The Association, established in Seregno (MB) in 2002, was born with the broad purpose of disseminating music and classical instruments through concert seasons, internships, record publications and all related communication activities.
Early Music Italia is active and operating throughout the national territory, in particular in Lombardy, where has been organizing the Brianza Classica review for 19 years, the most popular and awaited live classical music listening event in the Provinces of Lecco and Monza and Brianza.
To this historic review, which reached its 18th edition in 2021, a cycle of further concerts dedicated to the enhancement of the places of the Spirit of Brianza, called Brianza Sacra, was added starting from 2019.
The Association also operates through a branch in the Lazio region with which it has organized various events over the years, in collaboration with the Municipality and the Province of Rome.
In particular, he organized four seasons of a chamber review, Classical Rome, at the Sala dei Papi of the suggestive Basilica of S.
Maria Sopra Minerva and the church of S.
Caterina dei Funari.
More recently, in 2019, he inaugurated, with two concerts, a new Roman exhibition at the central Angelica Library dedicated exclusively to Ancient Music: “Rome goes Baroque”.
In terms of musical promotion, the Association has assumed the role of artistic direction and representation of some Italian ensembles.
Between these: - "Il Cortile delle Palme", ​​a modern string quartet with a cross-over repertoire; - the "Festa Rustica" Ensemble, one of the most accredited vocal - instrumental groups with a Baroque repertoire on copies of ancient instruments from the national and international scene; - "New Mediterranean Baroque Quartet", Italian-Israeli Baroque quartet (two flutes and basso continuo) made up of four well-known specialists in the so-called “Ancient Music” sector.
President of the Association and Artistic Director of all the initiatives promoted by this is Maestro Giorgio Matteoli, flutist, cellist, conductor and teacher of flute, baroque cello and ensemble music for ancient instruments of the Conservatory of Latina, at the Department of Early Music of which he is currently also the coordinator.
